Giving at Providence Grace Church

We praise God for His generous provision and for the ways He stirs hearts to support His work among us. At Providence Grace Church, we want to follow the Bible’s clear teaching on giving in a way that is joyful, free, and God-honoring.

What We Believe About Giving

The Scriptures call every believer to give generously, cheerfully, and proportionately as an act of worship. Our giving flows from gratitude for the gospel — because God has been so generous to us in Christ.

Key biblical principles include:

  • “Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Corinthians 9:7, LSB).
  • Give proportionately “as he may prosper” (1 Corinthians 16:2, LSB), thoughtfully setting aside a portion according to how the Lord has blessed you.
  • Give generously and sacrificially, trusting that “God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed” (2 Corinthians 9:8, LSB).

We are not under the Old Covenant system of tithing as a strict requirement. Instead, the New Covenant invites us into something even better: hearts that overflow with joyful, generous giving because of God’s grace that reflects our love for the Lord and His church.

Giving is never about earning favor with God — that is a free gift through faith in Jesus. It is simply a glad response of love and trust.

How Your Giving Supports the Ministry

Your gifts help us:

  • Proclaim the gospel through faithful preaching and teaching (including our online resources).
  • Shepherd and care for our church family in worship, discipleship, and fellowship.
  • Show mercy and hospitality, and advance the work of the kingdom together.

As a small church plant, we rely on the Lord’s provision through His people. We are committed to wise and transparent stewardship under the oversight of the elders.

An Invitation

Wherever you are financially, we invite you to pray and ask the Lord how He would have you participate. Even small, consistent gifts given with a cheerful heart are precious to God (see the widow’s offering in Mark 12). Our desire is that giving would be a source of joy for you as you partner in what God is doing here.
