Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, authorities, and spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Having girded ourselves with truth, put on the breastplate of righteousness, shod our feet with the gospel of peace, and taken up the shield of faith, we also receive the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. We pray at all times in the Spirit, with all perseverance, for all the saints, and for boldness to make known the mystery of the gospel, even as Paul asks to speak as he ought while an ambassador in chains.
