Paul has just laid out the incredible spiritual blessings we have in Christ. Now he prays that the eyes of our hearts would be opened to truly know three things: the hope to which God has called us, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints, and the immeasurable greatness of His power toward those who believe.
That power is the same power that raised Christ from the dead and seated Him far above all rule, authority, and every name that is named — both in this age and the one to come. Christ is supreme over all things, and He has been given as head over everything for the sake of the church, His body.
